Amnesty International Condemns Tinubu over the Recent Killings of 71 Nigerians by bandits

Amnesty International in a statement, blamed the President Tinubu over the attacks in Benue, Plateau, Kebbi and Katsina, blaming. That at least 71 people have been killed; 52 in Plateau, Kebbi 13 and Katsina 6 persons. 50 people had also been abducted in Katsina by gunmen.



That the government has not only fail to take the necessary steps needed to stop these attacks but consistently failed to bring suspected perpetrators to justice through due process of law. Furthermore, the government has Failed to hold the killers accountable which is embolden impunity, sending the wrong message that there are consequences for impunity. The attacks on rural communities are posing the risk of a humanitarian disaster.



President Tinubu through Bayo Onanuga stated that the gunmen who killed several people in communities in Plateau state will be arrested and face punishment under the law.
