Lawyer tasks media on justice, human rights.

Lawyer tasks media on justice, human rights.

News: 16/4/2025

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Ngozi Olehi, has harped on the urgent need for journalists to rise and continue to play the roles entrusted unto them by their profession and the laws of the country. Barr. Olehi made the call during an interactive parley with journalists in Owerri. He said journalists as watchdogs of society, are supposed to be at the forefront of agenda-setting and championing the advocacy and struggle against societal ills like injustice, abuse of people’s rights and underdevelopment.

He said all over the country, in communities, states and at the national level, allegations and cries against these ills were rampant and increasing daily, making it imperative for journalists whose callings positioned them to help checkmate, to rise and take up the responsibility.
